Is there a way to make my PC control whether or not my TV is on? I just have it plugged in with an HDMI cable. When I set the screen to power off after x minutes my TV just says no signal, and eventually turns off. Unfortunately, I then have to find the remote and power it back up. Is there a way to have it power down AND back up, much like a screensaver?

Running Windows 7 64 bit

Thanks

In HTPC situations (or using an HDTV), this is typically the case. They aren't good computer monitors in this regard... Some HDTVs support auto on/off functions, but that would be more for when the PC is powered on and not coming out of a sleep state. You could play around with an IR blaster to turn on the HTDV (simulates the remote)... Try changing your sleep settings to never power off the monitor.
