Dell Latitude e6430 with Intel core i7-3540M 3.0ghz and turbo boost. 16gb ram, intel Hd4000 + Nvidia NVS 5200M. I have a decent cooling pad, new Thermaltake grease applied, mesh removed from most of the airflow holes, and I have IOLO system mechanic's power sense set to ultra performance-gaming. I am running windows 10 pro, I did a fresh install last night as well

system requirements lab's test says I can run gta iv on minimum and recommended but will it damage anything? or am i good to play it for a few hours. i do also have a lenovo 330S with nvidia mx150 + uhd 620 graphics along with core i7 8550U quad on its way after january 4th, i want to know if i can run gta v safely and what fps it would be near. I do have Optimus enabled if that helps. thanks

Solution
Yes,you can gta 5 in 2nd pc smoothly about medium settings at 30fps and gta 4 smoothly at 60fps++

But in your 1st pc you can only run gta 4 at 30 fps in medium settings and also it will not damage your pc

I just tried it for myself, I got 35-37 fps on high settings, obviously without MSAA...mainly just texture settings. and it stays at around 70-85 degrees Celsius.
is the auto configure option even reliable? like will it give me the completely wrong settings for my hardware or can I somewhat trust it.

Auto config settings will depend on your pc specs.I think the game will set low settings but in some instances it wilp select ultra and you will get bad fps

But you telling about temperature which temperature are you telling cpu or gpu??

I think cpu temperature is bit high did you overclock the cpu??

Gpu temperature is fine
Edit: i just googled about temperature of cpu and find out 85c is not that high.but you have observe if it reaches 90c .
Is most of the time is stays at 85c

really? you think the cpu temps are high?? I have no clue
