Hi guys! I am looking at the back of my computer and it looks like the port at the top of the computer is a slot for a M.2 ssd. Is that correct? Also what is the port on the bottom of the picture that is tainted yellow? Thanks!

My laptop is an acer aspire f5-573-58vx. How to I find out what motherboard I have?
You'll have to ask Acer specifically, what type of drives this can take.

Currently, it has a 2.5" HDD, correct?
That is directly replaceable with a 2.5" SATA III SSD.

Whether it can utilize either type of M.2 drive is unknown.
M.2 is just the connection type, how it plugs in.
There are both SATA III M.2 and NVMe M.2.
They are NOT automatically interchangeable.

You'll have to find out which type, if any, will work in that slot.

Running an M key X4 drive is a hit and miss though and you should ask Acer for that, use the Online chat on a weekday.
