hello guys.. i was just wondering if my Corsair TX650w v1 can power and HD 7870, because im planning to buy one but im not sure if my PSU is enough.. I know a little bit on computers but not all of it so im not sure..

BTW my TX650W v1 has 2 PCI-E 6 pin connectors and an HD 7870 needs two also, so i guess its not a problem.. i think.. hehe

And oh! i almost forgot, it says that the HD 7870 needs two 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connector.. but i looked at my PSU's box about the 75W 6pin PCIE connector and i cant find any 75W.. all i only see is 6-pin PCIE connector without the 75W.. are the two the same? or do i need to buy a PSU that has 75W 6pin PCIE connector? sorry for this noob question.. haha i really dont have any clue about wattage and such.. LOL

i hope someone gives an opinion to my inquiry.. thanks!

A system with an HD 7870 only needs a recommended 500w power supply. 600 watts is sufficient for running 2 cards in Crossfire.

The 650TX is an excellent power supply and more than enough for your system.

The 650TX should have 2 x 6+2 pin PCI-E connectors that look like the image on the right.

It is all good. Don't worry much about the 75w, I could tackle about it, but I would just say your good to go by just having the two 6 pin. anyway 650w is even overkill for 7870. You could have a 550w and it is still more than enough. Good choice of brand and series though.
