Hello everyone!

I recently bought some upgrades which I am very happy with, and i'm now thinking of buying some more to keep my PC up to date with current titles. I now know that I need something better than a 60HZ monitor to be able to make use of my recent upgrades, but I'm wondering whether I should go for 144HZ or 240HZ

My current setup:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
Graphics Card: R9 380
RAM: DDR4 16GB 2600HZ
Motherboard: B450 Tomahawk
PSU: 550w

Monitor1: 1920x1080p 60HZ
Monitor2: 1440x900 75HZ

I'm intending on upgrading my graphics card to the RX 580 after buying the new monitor.

No matter which monitor I get, I would very much like to have three monitors connected after getting the RX 580.

My main question is: can an RX 580, with my current CPU and RAM, make use of a 240HZ monitor, or would a 144HZ monitor be more in-line with that kind of hardware?

Thank you for reading.

It really depends on what games you plan on playing. Like I play overwatch a lot and I got a 240hz monitor this summer and I had at the time a i7 5820k and a gtx 980 ti which is a much stronger card than the 380, and I still got dips below 200 at times and sometimes even down to 160 and I play at 75% render and all low. Then I upgraded to a 1080ti which helped a little bit, but I still would get blow 200 fps at times then I upgraded to an 8700k and got 3200 memory which helped a lot. I think my 1% lows are only like 225 now. I think unless you are super serious and are willing to put more money into your computer like the graphics card especially like an rtx 2070 or a 1080 ti. I would probably just invest into a 144hz monitor with a nice panel.
