Can my files come back? (I dont want them to)

I reset my pc but while the reset was progressing it stopped at 30% and i turned it off after 4 hours like that. When i restarted it i was told by the drive that it didnt have windows installed, so i installed windows and the drive didnt have any files on it which was my intention anyway. But can those files suddenly appear again? Since i didnt do a complete reset

They shouldn't show up they were over written , during install.
