[SOLVED] Can my GA-B150M-D3H support i5-9400f?

I bought an i5-9400f today, but it seems that my mother does not support it.
When I turn it on with it, it just turns off after less than half a second.
My current CPU is an i3-6100.
Does a bios update fix the problem? Or I need a new motherboard?
If so, which budget mobos should I be looking for? Thank you.

No, while the socket is the same it won't work. For the 9400F you'd want a B365 board.

No. The 9xxx series CPUs need a 300 series motherboard. Your motherboard will support 6xxx and 7xxx CPUs.
