if i add another 970 wouldd that be more than enough gpu power??

Before you go and buy another GTX 970, I do have something to add here... I do not recommend SLI/Crossfire for multiple reasons.

1) Power consumption and heat output.
2) Support. Not all games support SLI/Crossfire. Some games will only use one graphics card, even though multiple are installed properly and ready to be used.
3) Non-linear scaling. Two cards does not equal double the performance. If a game is well optimized for SLI/Crossfire, you may see a 40-50% increase in performance over a single card.
4) Microstutter. Because of the time it takes for the signal to travel from one card to another, any microstutter is multiplied exponentially.

Please note that support and scaling issues apply to dual GPU cards as well. Because of these issues, I always recommend buying one of the most powerful card that you can afford.

The only time that I'll ever recommend SLI/Crossfire is when one of the highest cards is not enough compute performance for a productivity application.
