Question Can my HDD be repaired or is it dead?

The HDD is making a clicking noise and slowing down my PC. Can it be fixed, or is it dead? It is also out of warranty, and I don't want to waste my time taking it to the shop if it can't be repaired.

If not, do that NOW (if you can).

Then replace.

No, I formatted the HDD thinking it might fix the issue, but sadly it didn't. Thank you for the quick reply.

Any shop that has the competence to even have a chance at that very slim shot of repairing a hard drive would charge you more than the cost of a bunch of new hard drives.
