What if have my games on my ssd but have my OS on a HDD will it lower the performance?

Thanks in advance.

Solution
As each drive is on a separate SATA port these days (unlike the old master/slave IDE systems), there's no way one drive can slow down another (except whilst your are copying data to/from a fast drive & a slow one).

However, the OS should be on your SSD, otherwise there's little point in having one.
