Can my i5 3330 still kick it or should I upgrade it?

I have an i5 3330 3.0 ghz CPU. Can it still support some new mid range GPU's like the 1060s. (I currently have a GTX 960 paired with 8gb of ram. I am currently gaming at 720p but planning to go for a 1080p monitor in the near future. I am on a tight budget right now.
I've also seen some reviews about the new pentium G4560. is it worth an upgrade?

These are the games I play - NBA 2K17, GTA V, Project Cars etc. Not really much of a gamer

The i5 should still be able to hold up and the g4560 is more a downgrade since the i5 is a pure quadcore. If you want to upgrade the best thing you can do is get an i7 3770

For now the i5 should be enough, you can always test it, but dont "upgrade" to the downgrade g4560

Should still work fine. Buy the GPU and see what you think before upgrading.

Thank you for your answer. I guess i'd be sticking around my i5 for a while. btw i only have an H61 chipset mobo. If ever I see a cheap used i7 i'd be going for that
