Can my laptop ASUS X552L support 2TB HDD?

I want to upgrade my internal HDD of my laptop from 500gb to 2TB.
- my laptop is ASUS X552L.
- Screen : 13.3"
- Ram : 4GB (I updated to 12GB)
- CPU : Intel Core i5-4210U up to 2.7GB
- HDD : 500GB (I want upgrade it to 2TB)
Can I upgrade it? I search many website but I can not get clear of it. I'm worry if I buy 2TB but my laptop isn't support it.

Generally if it fits inside, then it should work. However upgrading laptops is a little tedious, as you can see.
Why not just get a 2TB external drive and/or use cloud storage? That way it's plug and play, which makes it easier.
It's also more safe, as it'll work as a kind of backup, in case anything happens to your laptop. In my view, an
SSD would be better, because they're better able to handle the shocks of laptop usage. While normal HDDs aren't
as resistant and it would be a shame to risk losing 2TB worth of data.
