Question Can my laptop handle 165 hz?

I have a lenovo legion y540 with a gtx 1660 ti 6gb gpu wirh 144 hz screen internal. Im about to purchase a 165 hz external monitor with a displayport cable 1.4. Will it work with 165 hz?

check the monitor spec to see what is required for 165hz? what resolution?
