Can My Laptop Run a 144Hz Monitor?

Hello so i have a MSI GT72 2QE Dominator Pro it has HDMI And Dual Mini Display Port Graph Card is a Nvidia GTX980M (8Gb) i wanna know if i can use a 144Hz Monitor if able can u recomend me one? Thanks

If you plan on playing at 144hz/144fps, then don't get more resolution than 1080p, because a 1440p monitor is very demanding. I would say set G-Sync also to your wish list, but I don't know your wallet and how well it works with notebook/laptop.

Can it run it well(100+FPS on high settings)? No, those Maxwell mobile chips just don't have much oomph. Not even the 980M. It will be ok on 1080, don't try anything more than that, or be prepared to be disappointed.
 


You can always lower quality settings. Some are sorta uesless so that could help. But I do agree nonetheless.
