Can my laptop run Windows 8.1?

Hi,

Thinking of upgrading to Windows 8.1 on my laptop, would I be able to run it fluently with no problems with these specs? Am only going to be using it for Youtube, Microsoft Office etc no gaming or anything demanding.

My laptop specs are:
HP Pavilion g6
CPU - E2-3000m 1.80ghz
Graphics - AMD Radeon HD 6380G (HP)
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 512 Crucial M500 512GB

if it runs windows 7 then it can run win 8.1 too
In fact win 8.1 is faster in some tasks than win7

Windows 7 and windows 8/8.1 will be able to update to windows 10 for FREE this summer, you could get windows 8.1 now and spend over $100 or wait and get windows 10 for free.
Windows 10 is more like windows 7 , windows 8/8.1 is vastly different ui.

Considering that you have 8 gigs of ram, you should be able to run win 8.1.
