Hello
So recently i've been experiencing that im using up all the space on my laptop. It has a 128 GB SSD and a 1TB HDD, the 1 TB is almost full, and i was wondering if it is possible to upgrade it to a 2 TB one? The laptop i'm using is the Asus ROG Strix GL502VM.
If it is possible, what harddisk would you recommend?
Thanks in advance :)

It should be possible but don't install the OS on the 2TB disk as you might have to reformat the 2TB disk with GPT to make it functional. MBR can only handle up to 1TB disks.

I would recommend Samsung, they have crazy warranties on their stuff. But if you are looking for cheaper, Seagate or Westen Digital are very well known brand names to go with as well.

The OS is already installed on the SSD so does that mean that i don't have to worry about that? Also do you know any good Samsung ones?

If you compare price vs performance. I would say go with something like this.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822179110

Has a 5 year warranty and pretty decent reviews. Plus good hybird caching.

Only thing to keep in mine is the RPM of the drive. For gaming you may want 7200rpm but you have to make sure you have decent cooling in your laptop. If not, then go with 5400 rpm.

Solution

I think the current one in it is 7200rpm, and im going to use it for gaming so ill probably use one with that. Thanks for the help!

Hello MikkelRH, check out the laptop specs.

SSD FOR SUPERFAST LOADING SPEEDS
SSD gives you superfast data access speeds so you spend less time waiting. ROG Strix GL502 boots up faster, loads apps quicker, and gives you shorter in-game loading times so you stay immersed and focused on the game.

Don't stop at a blazing fast SSD. Equip your ROG Strix GL502 with up to a SATA 2TB 2.5' HDD for an abundance of storage space.

As for the HDD, there are many out there. What is your budget?

Hmm, idk 100-200$ mabye.

There are many options in that price range. Check out the link. You should find something in that price range. Best of luck.
