Can my laptop support different ram speed

I am using ASUS K46CB laptop(its very old with 4gb ram, so i wanna speed it up).My older brother has another computer which had a PC3-10700(667MHz) 4gb ram card and i want to put it inside my computer. Currently, my laptop has a 4gb PC3-12800 (800 MHz). Would my laptop be compatible with the PC3-10700(667Mhz)?

That model laptop will only support DDR3- 12800 ( 800mhz ) or DDR3-14900 (1866mhz) RAM. The PC3- 10600 ( 667mhz) will more than likely NOT work.
