[SOLVED] Can my laptop with displayport 1.2a run a monitor with displayport 1.4?

Im not sure my laptop is capable of running this 34-inch 1440p Ultrawide (LG 34WN700-B 34 inch QHD) .My laptop (HP ELitebook Folio 9480m Notebook) has a Intel i7-4600U with Intel HD graphics 4400, if that helps. The monitor has a Displayport 1.4 port, but my laptop has a Displayport 1.2a port so Im not sure if the connection would work ?
