I read somewhere that TVs used as monitors via HDMI can't process 60fps and that while the game says that it's on 60fps the tv actually displays much lower than that. Is it true? I've been switching between my TV and my monitor and I'm not really sure i can tell if it's true or not.
(My TV is an LG 26ls3500)

Well I use a Samsung 37" Tv via Hdmi connection to the computer.

And I can tell you at 1080p it does display at a 60Hz refresh rate.
It also displays at 59Hz refresh mode.

30Hz refresh for 1080 i mode
And 25hz refresh @ 1080 i also.

Hdmi is 60Hz native. Default.

LG`s are good LCD tv`s like Samsung so I would expect it to do 60Hz at 1080p without much question at all saiyaku.
It`s cheaper brands of Tv`s you get problems with.

It's not rly a very expensive tv haha i listed the model so that if someone is familiar with it might give me an answer based on that but thank u nevertheless!

98% of TV right now can't support 4k @ 60hz because HDMI 1.4 is only 30hz for UHD. TVs with HDMI 2.0 or Display Port 1.2 can do 4k @ 60Hz. Since that TV is 720P. I can't see why it does not support 60hz even on HDMI 1.2 (2006)

on my TV i play mostly at 1980x1080p, so that means that it doesnt support 60fps?
this reply is a bit confusing to me tbh
