Can my motherboard and cpu still be compatible?

As I slowly earn money I want to upgrade my pc. Will I be fine for now having buying and using a MSI Geforce GTX 960 2 GB 128-Bit GDDR5 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116923 ) with only an Intel Core i3-3245 Ivy Bridge Dual-Core 3.4GHz ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116923 )

What is your question exactly? Are you asking of your motherboard is compatible with your CPU? If so, then a) you're in the wrong section of the forum, and b) we'd like to know what motherboard you're using. The CPU you listed uses an LGA 1155 socket, which is quite old actually and probably hard to find a motherboard for.

If you mean will your 960 be compatible if you upgrade your CPU/motherboard, then, yes. If you want to know what CPU you can upgrade to on your motherboard you'll need to check the compatibility list on the manufacturer's website.
