Question Can my motherboard support I5-9600/k?

I upgraded my Bios on Acer Nitro 50-600 (i5-8400) desktop with the current file named "MCU to support CFL-R CPU". Acer download area doesn't explain what it does so I googled "CFL-R CPU" and found a list of Coffee Lake CPU. What I understand is that the motherboard should be able to now support i5-9600 or 9600K . Does anyone know if this is what the bios update does based on this PC or any other PC with similar bios update?

You're going to need to contact Acer for that, they don't make upgrade paths openly available and from what I see Bios updates are limited.

i3-9100, i5-9400, i7-9700, and i9-9900.

That's good to hear because even the Acer community forums left that question unanswered several times. 😕
