Can My Motherboard Support This CPU?

Its an FM2 socket so yes the processor will fit, that said the BIOS may not support it. There really is no way to tell for sure. It probably should work, but without Gateway having ever released that PC with that processor there is no way to know for sure without trying it.

All I can find is that that CPU is a laptop CPU soldered onto the board.

looks like getochkn is correct, you can't upgrade that processor they put basically a laptop board into a PC to save money. Its soldered to the board. Sorry.
