Hello
It seems it does and just want to be sure, I just saw another guy asking about his msi B150 Gaming M3 saying that cant run a evo 960

Solution

The obvious place to know the answer is to look at the manufacturer specs.

The other persons B150 will not.
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B150-GAMING-M3/Specification
"1 x M.2 Key M Socket supports type 2280/2260/2242 storage devices in SATA mode"

The 970 EVO, being an NVMe drive...will not work on that motherboard.
Ever.

Your z170a gaming pro will.

1 x M.2 Key M Socket supports type 2280/2260/2242 storage devices in both PCIE Gen3 x4 & SATA mode*

Solution
Thanks for the fast answer, got another question reading reviews the 970evo temp is like 40-70+its gonna be close to the gpu, not sure if would be worth for gaming, the only reason I was buying it was the price 130€(wich seems good)

At 130€, you're looking at a 250GB drive?

For a gaming PC, you'd be better off with a SATA SSD instead of the 970 EVO.
Twice the size, same price.
