Curved is a matter of preference, at 27" immersive viewing might full a bit short unless your face was close. You'd have to search for user experiences at that size, i feel for curve to make difference would have to start from 30 or 32".
Another thing though, i would avoid VA. High refresh rates and it's frame generation make motion look bad. We get that a lot here complaining 144hz or whatever feels like 60. Find out it's a VA panel. I encourage more vigorous research before buying that panel type. I'd prefer IPS, flat. LG make some good mid tier monitors like their UltraGear line.
Monitors are a lengthy investment so id try choose something you'd really enjoy, even if it's a little more expensive.
