my current set up:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790
GPU: Nvidia GTX 745 (OEM)
HDD: WD Blue 1TB (2012)
RAM: Kingston (8GB)
ACR16D3LU1KFG
PC: Acer Predator G3-605

So, my pc is a prebuilt one, but i am trying to upgrade its GPU. My main questions are whether the gtx 1060 GPU can be compatible with my motherboard and whether it would be able to physically fit inside the PC case.

Without seeing it I'm unsure. You would need to measure how much space you have and also look at the specs of the card to see how long it is and also factor in where the power connector is.
If you aren't overclocking the graphics card, they should all be similar performance. You will probably want over that is shorter one work a single fan for that Acer case though. I would recommend a power supply upgrade though as the stock one probably won't cope well with the power usage of the new graphics card.
