Can my pc handle a GTX 960?

Yes, system with i7 and GTX 960 needs 430w or more PSU so you are more than save with 550w (unless you have a cheapo PSU)

What make and model PSU do you have? Rest of the system is ok but PSU quality massively varies making the wattage on its own virtually meaningless

If your motherboard has AMD 990FX or even a 78L board then it can definitely handle a GTX 960. But I am definitely with everyone else in this thread when I question what PSU you have. Make and model is extremely important.

its actually a 500w. EVGA 500 B 80 Plus Bronze Certified
