Well, you could buy that but I think the best thing to do is to upgrade your whole platform to something like:

Yes, it'll cost more but I think it'll be worth it.

thank you man, i am going to buy this graphics card now i will ley ypu know how it runs in a few days, i am building a whole new pc around christmas time...
thank you very much for your help:)

or, i am hearing that a msi gtx 1050ti works perfectly in a n40w psu

What's n40 ? This is getting a bit confusing. Which card do you actually want to buy ? And, your PSU is from FSP, and the max output is 250 Watts, right ? For the GTX 1050 Ti a minimum 300 Watts PSU is actually recommended. I can't really comment on the power supply unit which you are currently have, unless you show me the PSU's label.

The GT 1030 is a different story though. Is your PSU having any PCI-e cables though ? That MSI model might require a single 6-PIN PCI-e cable.

Sorry, I didn’t mean n40 I meant 240, I want either a thx 1050ti or a gt 1030 which ever is best. The psu’s model number is FSP250-60HCN. Also I have no 6 pin connecters but the Msi model dosent need that

A 1050 ti will be more powerful than a GT 1030, it is also overpriced and draws too much power for your old psu to handle. Not just that, your old apu would bottleneck it hard.
As I said above, if you have the budget then upgrade your whole platform.
With your current pc, a GT 1030 is the only card I can really recommend.

Don't worry about any typo errors. I make even bigger mistakes though, lol.....Anyways, is this your PSU ? A GT 1030 might work on this, but I don't think you should be using this with the GTX 1050 Ti ? NOT recommended.
