I have motherboard M2N68-LA (Narra5)

Please confirm if the motherboard can run the following CPU:

AMD Phenom II X4 920 2.8GHz Cache 8MB AM2+ 125W Processor

Solution
Should be an AM3 chip, where do you see it listed as AM2+. I know some of the AM2+ sockets will take the CPU and just run at the lower bandwidth.

Narra5 is an AM2+ socket with an nForce chipset. Narra6 is a different motherboard.

I blame Pegatron and HP's terrible naming scheme.

It still have the same issue
TDP: 95W

Ok, so I am going crazy with all of the CPU stuff.

I know I can run an: AMD Phenom II Quad-Core AM2+ 2.8 GHz 95W

But, when I type that into the Amazon search it comes up with additional information, such as x4 920, x4 925, x4 820, etc...

can you provide me with the the full description of a CPU that I can safely buy for my PC?

Your time is greatly appreciated!

According to the HP website under HP Pavilion Slimline s5703w Desktop PC (product No. BV604AA)

The motherboard only supports socket am2+ processors.

and, currently installed is the AMD Athlon II x2 220

I am truly sorry to take up so much of your time, I am a poor single parent trying to save money. I simply don't have the cash to pay for a new PC.
Just trying to make my current PC work better.

I greatly appreciate your kindness!
