Can my power supply power my i5 processor

Hello,
I'm just trying to find out what is wrong with my computer. When I turn it on I get one beep, all the fans run for a second and then everything shuts down. A second or two later something. (New i5 build) I think maybe its my power supply but not sure. Total power 550w

did you build it yourself? list full specs including make and model of each component. re-seat all addon cards and ram, cpu. Make sure all the power connectors are plugged in. what make and model psu is it?

i 5-2400 LGA1155 processor, Gigabyte ga-h55-usb3 mother board, NVIDIA gt 430 video card, g.skill 8gb ddr3-1333 ram, hard drive, cd-rw disk drive, power supply total power 550w rosewill RP550V2-D-SL model# AP-600F12V. I am building this myself, all parts are new except the hard drive, disk drive, power supply, and case. I also got a power adapter to fit the 12v(ATX_12V_2X) because my power supply had two 4v. I checked all power cables same result. Thank again in advance.

Any chance of trying a different PSU? Also check that the CPU heatsink fan is plugged in and spinning.

If the info you supplied is correct your cpu (SB 1155) is not compatible with your mobo(1156).
You need an 1155 mobo.
