So with the recent announcement of Battlefield 5 I decided I want to get it in PC rather than console for obvious reasons. I looked at the hardware requirements and my PC meet all the requirements expect the proccesor. I didn't build my PC, it's a Dell Optiplex 980 that I added a GTX 1050 ti to. The processor in it is a first gen Intel I5-670, while the processor in the minimum requirements is an Intel
I5-6600k. Now I have an extremely limited knowledge on processors, but I know I have run games like Doom 2016 (which calls for an I5-2200, I think) with this computer smoothly. So my main question is can my computer run battlefield 5. And if you could could you also explain a bit about what the numbers mean and how the proccesor compare. Thank you very much. I was hoping to avoid putting any additional money into my computer but I may have to.

go here: https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/battlefield-5-armageddon/13374

click can you run it and it will let you know.

based off the fact that it has the 6600k as the minimum i would say you might have a hard time running it. As the 6600k is the 7th generation of intel chips and they are currently on the 8th gen now. also your processor has 2 cores and 4 threads while the 6600k has four physical cores no threads but runs at a higher clock speed and more memory cache.
