can my psu handle new graphics card

If your running windows then you can see your CPU and RAM through windows.
Go to the start menu
Right Click Computer / My Computer (Depends on OS)
Click Propeties
Your CPU is what it says next to "processor".
Your RAM is what it says next to "Installed Memory (RAM)"

Ok so.. with that i3 the op shouldn't even be touching, I really mean this.. not even close, to the peak wattage its rated for.. throwing a 760 on there should be ok.. even with it in there is at least room for the psu to not be up to par with its wattage rating..

He doesn't have a Corsair CX 500. If he did he would be fine, but he has a Fortune 500W PSU, probably a cheap Chinese brand which can maybe output half the wattage stated.
