This is my first time posting, sorry in advance if this is in the wrong section.
I want to add an SSD, probably a samsung 840 pro, and I'm also gonna add a vga cooler, definitely this - http://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Accelero-Xtreme-7970-Cooler/dp/B0074VVK52 but i'm not sure if I have a good enough psu.
I'm not sure what info you need about my build, so i'll list everything.
This might be a dumb question but I'm not very experienced yet.

I also have a wireless PCI adapter and a coolermast cpu cooler, idk if that matters.

Yes good enough :)

Your PSU is struggling to keep up with you card hence the psu fan makes the buzzing noise. You need to upgrade your psu.
I would recommend getting a 650w or even a 750w psu. (650 watts is perfectly fine where your at) 550watts is cutting it kind of low imo.

Thats just my take on it. I like having a little more bit more of breathing room for the future.

This is on sale right now, looks like a great price, should I go for it?

1000 watts is unnecessary. Raidmax is not exactly favorable either.
Brands I would look out for would be: Corsair, Seasonic, and XFX

What he said :)

thanks for your help guys, like extreme said, i looked for corsair and found this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139051&ignorebbr=1 looks good right?

also on a side note, a little while after installing my 7950, my psu has started to make a buzzing noise, it goes away when I tap on it, any idea what it could be?
