So my question is will i need a new psu or can it run my system. I'm starting to upgrade it one part at a time, but if i can i want to use the new video card as soon as possible.

So this week i will buy a new video card : Sapphire Radeon R9 270x 4Gb

My system :

CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.0GHz
RAM : 2x2Gb DDR3
HDD : Samsung SATA 1TB 5400RPM
GPU : AMD Radeon HD 7750
1 DVD drive
no other devices

PSU: FSP350-60APN 350W

So far my system only consumes around 200W so in theory it can handle the extra from the GPU
but I'm not completely sure. I want to know before the video card actually arrives so I can use it with this or buy a PSU.

If the PSU could handle it I'd rather wait with a new one even tho its not safe to strian it.

I accidentally downvoted your comment. Sorry about that. And sorry for the late reply. Im not really sure if your PSU can handle it. Thats because PSUs have different build qualitys as well. Some are very efficient and punch out 400 of 450w they are supposed to. The rest of the power is converted to heat. Your PSU is not that efficiënt and you are really on the edge of what your PSU will be able to deliver. The R9 270x has a TDP of 180 watts. From a regular vendor the voltage will be slightly higher because the come factory overclocked most of the time. 220 watts is what you are looking at for the card. Which means if your system is now taking on 200w on full load and the difference between your old Graphics card is 100 watts. And your...
What do you plan to do with the PC. Because if you want to game. Your processor and ram will be the bottleneck. As for your question. I think you will maybe be able to sqeeuze out enough juice for the graphics card but i doubt it. Goodluck my friend.

Yes I actually want to make a gaming pc out of it, but as far as I'm concerned the GPU is the weakest in my current system so thats what I want to upgrade first.
I got Dark Souls 3 as a gift a week ago and my current setup can actually run it on low settings so I can play but I don't have enough fps for the online play mainly because of the GPU. Thats why I want to start with it, then in half a year completely rebuild my pc. So my main concern right now the PSU and the power strain.

There you see what i mean by on the edge. Best of luck!
