It's a tier 3 PSU so i know it's not that good, but im wondering if it can still support the GTX 1070 without any serious problems.
If it can't what tier PSU would you recommend.

Just to be clear the power supply 'tier' list is a user created opinion piece and not something officially supported by Tom's Hardware. It was made by a high school kid although I think he graduated since. It is not a hard fast list but more of a general buying guide. The Antec is not a high end unit by any means but it's perfectly fine for a lower draw system and the 1070 is very efficient.
The Antec VP 500 is a perfectly good PSU, not top of the line but it will have no problems with the 1070. Far better than many people ask us about here. I would not replace it, its good.
Nvidia recommends atleast a 500W PSU for GTX 1070, looking at tests the card itself draws a bit over 150W at full power (a bit less when gaming). What is the rest of your system? Without overclocking on cpu/gpu you'll propably be fine with your current PSU. You could look into getting something like Seasonin S12II 520W or Seasonic S12II 620W.

It doesn't appear that you have the amps needed to power that card with your PSU.
Its a multi rail PSU with 24amps on 1 12v rail and 21 on the other, he has more thna enough to run that card.

And Nvidia's recommendations are usually high (same with AMD) no reason to replace this PSU, even with a minor overclock on that CPU. The Antec VP500 is a quality unit.
The Antec is fine. Literally no reason to replace it. RealHardTechX maintains the most comprehensive power supply database on the internet and they recommend 500 watts.
They overstate the requirements just like Nvidia does because of all the junk units out there. The Antec is not junk. You could easily run that system on a similar quality 400w power supply.

Ok, i see, but im still a little worried about the fact that its a tier 3 PSU , will that pose any problems in the future because of component quality?

No. Relax. It will not fry your system. It's not that kind of "tier 4"

Ignore the tier list, its generalized and has not been updated in a while.
As I said, the PSU is a good quality unit, you will be fine.
