Hello,

So I've been considering buying the GTX 960, in particular THIS one ASUS STRIX-GTX960-DC2OC-2GD5 ( https://m.ebay.in/itm/Asus-Nvidia-GeForce-GTX-960-Strix-DirectCU-II-2-GB-GDDR5-Graphics-Card-Open-Seal-/162251206232 ).
But I'm worried if my mobo, cabinet and PSU will let me do that especially the cabinet and PSU since they're kinda cheap and I'm not sure if it has the required 8-pin connector. And this ASUS version is 8.47 inches long, so I'm also wondering if it will fit into my cabinet.

My motherboard is a GIGABYTE F2A68HM-S1
The cabinet is a Zebronics Darts, this one https://www.zebronics.com/products/cabinet-budget/darts
And the PSU is a 500 Watt unit from TECHCOM https://www.theitbazaar.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=822

Thanks a lot!

P.S. If it's any help, the rest of my rig-
AMD A8-7600
2×4GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 Mhz
1TB HDD

Your PSU quality is the issue here mate , I'm jot a fan of using molex adapters but with the sub 100w draw of the 950 it's just about acceptable

What you should be doing if at all possible is waiting for a few weeks for gtx 1050/1050ti stock to hit Indian shores properly.

What youve got then is a card that is bus powered , has no external power requirements , a max tdp of 75w & pretty much matches or sometimes beats the 960 performance wise.
It 'should' also be a fair bit cheaper.

Thanks man. Last question... can't I use a 4-to-8 pin Molex to connect 8-pin cards as well?
And lastly, for someone who's looking for a GTX 950, what alternatives can you suggest for me that's as good or better(but doesn't exceed the price point by much) ?

Sorry for the late response but thanks a lot! I've decided on buying the GTX 1050 Ti OC 4GB edition from Zotac (this one https://www.zotac.com/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-oc-edition#spec ). So just to be sure, this card should run fine with my current setup and PSU?
Also, is there any software to monitor my system's power usage in realtime? Like we have Fraps to monitor framerates, EVGA PrecisionX to monitor GPU temperatures and memory usage, is there anything that shows how much power my system is currently drawing?

That 1050ti is hands down a better choice than any of the others , you've got performance close to the 960 with the power draw of a RX 460.

Not really possible to monitor power usage in real time with software mate.
MSI afterburner coupled with rivatuner osd can make a rough estimate on CPU/GPU power but the only real way is with hardware.
