Question Can My Supply Run RX 470 ?

Can i get away with this RX 470 into my system for a month or two till i get a better PSU ?

Can i undervolt the GPU using wattman or afterburner to achieve what i want ?

The GPU model is XFX Radeon RX 470 Graphics Card Black/Red

You'd best look for a different gpu, as even if the psu could power it(it can't), the cpu is way to weak to provide any benefit. If you end up getting a new psu and plop in the rx470, you will just have a miserable time stuttering every 5 seconds.

If you already own the rx 470, best to save up for a new system or just sell it and pick up a more conservative card.

Other options are 750TI 2 GB - RX 460 4 GB ... guess what both are at the same price ... the 470 is like 20 % more expensive this is why i want to buy it

The rx 460 might run on that psu if it's slot powered with no external pci-e connections.

If you really want a rx 470, you should get a better psu AND upgrade your cpu to something like a i5 760, granted, if your motherboard supports it.

k might try to get the RX 460 ... though i can get away with the 470 since sites like techpowerup recommend a 350 PSU for it .

Why go through all this sacrifice of performance and $ just to avoid getting a decent PSU?

First of all you should consider upgrading your CPU to maybe an i7 1st gen to make your system usable

Not getting 470 at this point ... prices are the main reason i put it as an option ... my main goal is to up my GPU only

what is your current Graphics card ? and what kind of games do you intend to run ? i used to own a similar PSU like that in 2006 although it ran mostly fine in its prime it did exhibit odd behaviours with some users and caused them system damage
I wouldn't trust this PSU at all at this point of time ,I wouldnt invest any new hardware into it unless i am buying it dirt cheap from the used market. and willing to accept the risk that it may fail and take one of my components with it

I have a feeling you are from Egypt , if you are send me a PM , I havemy old Seasonic S12 520w although its an old design but its very decent PSU for that price range
