Can not access my computer

When I type in my password on my SONY VGN-NR11S laptop I get the following message on screen "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded" how do I overcome this problem?? Any suggestions please.

Try starting in Safe Mode. Although you will probably need to run a Repair setup of Windows on the computer to get it working again.
