I just switched from one isp to comcast, and after a few days of using it I can no longer access my domain via ftp. I have no problem accessing the domain from my current network when I hook up with my old provider, but when I switch back to the new provider I can ping the site view the website but I can not access the domain via ftp. Any ideas? Thanks so much.

Some new subscribers to Comcast somehow have a Comcast proxy installed in their machine at the time of first connection. This happens most often if you call them with original connection problems. Check your internet connection settings and see if there is a proxy, if so, delete it, reboot and see if everything works better.

Start>settings>Control Panel>Internet Options>Connections>Dial-up and Virtual Private Network Settings

If it is there, delete it.
If it's not there, then another problem exist (of course).

I have no idea how it gets there. I've seen it twice with new subscribers, but at complete loss of it's origin as I was there at first-connect and saw nothing happening to put the proxy there. After internet works for about 2 weeks, Comcast will send an email requesting person remove proxy. They can get it in, but can't remove it.

Thanks for the imput, nothing was there so that isn't it. My internet works just fine with the comcast. I can access website etc...no problem just can't access my FTP site. Other FTP no problem but not the one I need to get to. I can access my ftp no problem using my old internet connect, just not with comcast.
