I installed linux mint julia manually alongside windows 7 ultimate sp1. everything was fine as i was able to boot with both operating system. but problem appears when i deleted linux mint partition from windows diskmgmt.msc for a fresh install of linux mint. when i restarted my laptop it showing grub rescue> no such partition. now i am unable to boot from live linux usb. even i downloaded ultimate boot cd but its also showing can not load boot file. i tried everything as far i know. plz provide any help or hint. and yeah i installed mint in different location from windows 7 partition (c: drive). i was carefull while deleting linux mint partition. thnx in advance

Solution
thnx for reply. I tried all those methods. bootrec /fixmbr (bootrec / fixboot, bootrec /rebuildbcd) by help of same windows version setup. All commands executed successfully but after that i got new problem, blue screen of death (BSOD), 0x0000007B error. Then I tried to boot from Linux live usb. It also failed. At last I go through custom installation of windows 7 (mine version is ultimate). Now everything okay after diskclean up. proceeding to install linux mint.. thnx a lot for reply. :)

boot from a windows 7 recovery disk or install disk and open command prompt. type in "bootrec /fixmbr" without quotes and "bootrec /fixboot" without quotes. that's the only solution I know since I also deleted my ubuntu partition within windows.
