Can not open anything because of a zip file that I don't have

A few days ago, I started my computer and saw everything on my desktop was showing in zip folder.EVERYTHING. I tried to find the zip program, tried sytem restore (it won't let me open) Malware goes strainght into a zip file when I downloaded it. I can't opn any browser. I even tried to run my anti-virus and the zip will not allow me. i tried running in admin. nope...looked for the zip download in programs and features, it is not there. I'm out of options other than throwing my computer. I'm running windows 7 and when I bought it, there was no disc to do a factory reset. HELP!

Do you have the license key for it? There hopefully is a sticker somewhere on the computer with the license number. You can always download a Windows7 ISO, and re-install with your key.

I'd recommend using Linux to get your files off (backup) before re-installing. You can also scan them for viruses in Linux as a precaution too.
