Can Only Boot from Boot Manager, not SSD anymore, is this a problem?

Hi guys,

(I'm a total computer noob be warned. I apologize if I sound a bit confusing, I hope I'm clear enough.)

so I had a really ridiculous set of events happen yesterday and I had to reinstall Windows 7 onto my SSD. It was impossible for me to system restore or repair my OS after I had a really bad conflict with a faulty realtek driver; start-up repair utterly failed at being of any use to help me solve my problems.

I used a USB+ some other tools like Rufus(as I didn't have my W7 disc on me) to reinstall W7 onto my SSD. I went through a bunch of other shenanigans also like converting to GTP from MBR with my SSD after getting the "Windows Cannot be Installed to This Disk: The Selected Disk has an MBR Partition" error and I managed to reinstall W7 on my SSD.

Sometime after I managed to boot up into the desktop screen I figured out that my OS was booting up from the boot manager and not my SSD itself. How I exactly found about about not being able to boot up from my SSD was after I tried messing around with the boot order in BIOS I couldn't boot up from my SSD and I was prompted to insert some bootable media; I didn't want to go through more hassles and so I set the boot manager first in my boot order so I'd be able to boot to the desktop from there.

So, I'm wondering is the fact that I'm only able to boot up from the boot manager and not my SSD a problem? I read somewhere on this forum that, "This is the style for a gpt install, it will not boot if you select your ssd, dont worry, it boots from ssd but from now on the 1st boot device must be windows boot manager. "

However, I wanted to verify that this was true?
