Can only get audio through graphics card

I currently have an asus motherboard, an evga graphics card, and an internal usb media controller with audio output jacks.

all three register in control panel and device manager, yet I cannot manage to get any audio to come out of anything besides the hdmi out of the graphics card. I have tried disabling the graphics cards audio driver, still nothing.

Have you tested the other outputs with windows sound properties? If they show up in "Playback Devices" you should be able to test the outputs and set one of them as default instead.
