Can only play games in 4k 60hz but every resolution other than is capped to 30hz

Using a 4k tv. Plugged in computer (i74790k/GTX 1080) and tried to run some games. All games work in 4k 60hz but if I try to drop the resolution beneath that I can't get above 60hz. Thank you

Figured it out, I needed to go into the settings of my TV and enable the use of HDMI 2.0
