can out of date bios.. cause cpu freezes? HELP

m5a99fx pro 2.0 mother board
amd fx 8350 Processor

Out of the blue my CPU started freezing when ever put under the smallest strain.

( Im using an old CPU but with all the same( mother board, GPU, PSU, Ram ) no problems at all.....

do cpu's mess up this way or what HELP!!!

Well, I would update the board to the latest bios.

Also, if that does not work, try running it with one stick of RAM removed, and then the other to see if that makes a difference with the slowdowns.
