can people attack your computer and take control of it throgh gameranger?

I thing most of you khnow gameranger that will let you play multiplayer
but does it safe
can someone take control of your computer with it?

Someone can take control of your computer only if you do something stupid with a program. I've used gameranger before for some old games and never had an issue with it. Honestly, unless you shut down all security and just allow anything to install on your computer, its really difficult. Technically, anytime you connect to the internet, someone could attack you. But the vast amount of effort required to do so makes it unlikely unless you have a habit of going to random sites and downloading a ton of stuff.
