So say there are three devices on a LAN, first (A) is a pc connected to their main and first router, second (B) is a pc connected via an access point [second router], third (C) is a smartphone connected to the same access point via Wi-Fi. Would any of those devices or people be able to see the browser history of the other devices? I know you can install programs and stuff to snoop and see every packet of data on a network, but that is extremely advanced stuff, lets stay at a lower level. So would the people on the network be able to easily see other's browser histories and/or online activity?

I'm in for $30 per month for the next 3 years with 2 and a half ish years left, but, I have a "Guy" on the inside who really helped me out.

Also, if the people using it aren't to tech savvy, I wouldn't worry all too much, best way they would get to your history is directly threw the device, so, a good password and a second password to open your browser and to open your C drive. Just make sure to never lose the passes...

Best regards, Vel.

So the ISP can? Kinda obvious, i mean they are the actual ISP, no offense at all.But im more worried about the people on the LAN, besides the ISP or outside hackers.

some routers let you see where the IP traffic is going to... that means if I know your IP and have access to the router I can see what IP's you've gone to and can look them up.

If I have a protocol analyzer I can trap info on dns lookups (by DNS request port and source IP) to see who is on what site.

Snooping on someone or paranoid you will get caught on cornhub.bomb

If you have an Android device in your home on your network then it can do most everything, look at where you are, collect passwords, redirect .IMG on non secure www. pages, even take control of a web histories page and re use credit card data to buy things from an IP in another country.

But, all of that is rather illegal, on a federal level, even snooping on your own son/daughters history via packet sniffing and cookie collection is illegal, again on a federal level.

I would not suggest any of this, and the apps used would be considered "Warez" and aren't allowed on this site, so gentleman, this is where my buck stops 😀

@veladem (can't quote atm)

Thanks! All that is just a tiny bit farther from looking at just my browser history lol. I don't think the people who will be on my LAN are that tech savvy. I'm just worried if they can directly and easily see my entire web history like you would see the history in google chrome, can they? Atleast on a cheaper home router.

But thanks for all the info.

Btw, how much are you paying for Comcast right now, if it isn't too invading of a question?
