Can Phenom II X4 945 TDP 95W run Ram PC 6400 800mhz?

Hello there...,

I have old rig:
AM2+ ECS RS780M-A Black v.1.1
Proc Athlon dual core
Ram ddr2 2x1 gb PC 6400

Now I'm considering to upgrade my CPU to X4 or X6 AM3 proc

My question is,
1. Can this am3 proc I.g x4 945 run with my existing ram pc 6400? or I have to move to pc 1066 ddr2?
2. If it can not, then I'll try to socket AM2 + phenom 9850
3. How much the difference perfomance x4 945 vs 9850?

I maintain this old rig because I just do browsing, office, and little graphics job with Photoshop CS3

Yes, I have used almost same but faster 965Be with Kingston 1600MHz RAM and it run quite good so DDR2 at 800MHz should be no problem.
