Hi guys,
Cutting a long story short - I know something is wrong with either my CPU or my motherboard. My PC basically turns on for 1 second then straight off again.. I have replaced the PSU and tried starting it up without my video card etc etc
My question is: If I turn on my PC using just the PSU and Motherboard, should it turn on and engage the fans? because when I try this, it does the exact same thing of turning off after about 1 second. Does it need the CPU in order to power it? (Im not even talking about getting to the BIOS stage)
If the power remains on and the fans do engage usually when the PSU is powering just the motherboard then I know it's my motherboard that needs replacing
Cheers,
Ben
