Can run gta 5 with high graphics smoothly but not gta eflc

I can run gta 5 much better than gta eflc. It lags although I have updated drivers Radeon crimson ( amd Radeon r7 m360), core i3 5th gen, 4gb ram but the game lags. In game graphic settings video memory has been shown as 880/3078MBbut says memory is near our has exceeded which is in red color. Every seeing is in higher end except shadows which is set in medium. Don't know what to do. I don't know how to upload the problem pic.

GTA EFLC (Episodes From Liberty City, right?) is a bit older; it's probably a 32-bit program, and may not be able to use the full amount of memory on your R7.

Side suggestion, GTA V may run better than GTA EFLC on your computer, but upgrading to 8GB RAM will make it run better still; it's not optimized well enough to be really good on only 4GB.

Hey man thanks for your ur reply. As u said......may not use the full amount of memory so i changed the value of availablevidmem from 100 to 85 in commandline and this seems working. But now in tbogt after first mission save the game crashes when the game saves in safehouse. And when I restart the game, it again crashes after the loading screen ie. After the loading pictures.. any fix?

Er. I probably should have gone into more detail. If it's crashing now, you should probably set that back to 100.

The issue is partly that the program can't (like literally cannot) use the full VRAM on your card and partly that older games sometimes have trouble on newer cards because they're trying to use instructions that were for an older card.

Let me clarify that I am playing GTA eflc which includes both tlad and tbogt. I can play tlad comfortably but the problem is with tbogt which crashes after first mission. I even tried deleting the save game and also your plan to change the value to 100. Both didn't work. By the way thanks for your reply.

Wait a minute. Is it specifically saying that your video memory has been exceeded or just memory? If it's just saying memory, then it's out of normal RAM. I don't think it should need more than 4GB, but I don't know the exact requirements of the game.
