Question can samsung PM981 NVMe SSD be used on Desktop/ Gaming PC?

I was wondering if I could use Samsung PM981 512 gb Nvme SSD with MSI B450 pro carbon motherboard as the mobo supports Nvme ssd.

Probably, I'd sure try it if you have one...; they are/were rumored to be basically rebadged 950 or 960 Pro in OEM guise....

I have one which was used in my laptop. Let me give it a try then, it wont hurt the mobo by any chance right ?.. hahhaha
